Renaissance New York Flushing Hotel at Tangram, Queens, USA

The launch of the newly constructed Renaissance New York Flushing Hotel is set to offer a new standard of lodging and dining opportunities for local residents, business and leisure travellers from across the globe. Located in Queens, the hotel offers simple access to the top destinations such as Flushing Meadows (home to US Open Tennis), Citi Field and the New World Mall making the hotel a sought-after location for guests to stay.

The client opted for Sylan Glass restroom stalls for the Renaissance New York Flushing Hotel at Tangram communal restroom. Specified in a dark green custom glass, a sophisticated yet timeless design was created that complemented the rest of the hotel’s grand interiors. The toughened glass is bonded to the solid colour matched background making it impossible to see through, offering users optimum privacy while also eliminating any potential backlit shadows through the stalls.

The stalls were specified in our full-height design to provide restroom users the highest level of privacy while the floor to ceiling design delivers a flush-fronted, endless finish. The innovative concealed pivot hinge system gives the stalls their self-closing function to ensure the desirable flush front is maintained even when the restroom stalls are not in use. 

The initial brief not only required the restroom stalls to be specified to a premium standard but withstand the projected high levels of footfall the facilities were set to receive. Sylan Glass features a satin anodised frame for strength and rigidity, complemented by minimalist fittings and stainless steel ironmongery for robust product longevity.
